Unleash Possible is a how-to guide for high-growth marketing in complex selling environments. Author Samantha Stone, the revenue catalyst, doesn’t just tell you what to do, she shows you how to do it and how to partner with sales to get the right results. There is no shortage of inspiring advice calling you to transform your marketing efforts. They all preach, correctly, that B2B marketing has changed and buyers are in control. The problem is - most advice tells you to transform but does little to address the practical realities of making changes in organizations that have complex relationships with sales.Unleash Possible changes that - it’s a how-to manual for B2B marketers to:Become a trusted partner for sales teams to turn to for guidance.Change the way marketing is done to better serve buyers.Drive more revenue, growth and profitability."Rarely do you find a practical, accessible resource that seamlessly combines sales and marketing into a coherent and motivating call to action as Samantha has written here. Highly recommended read by those new (and old) to B2B sales and marketing (yes both sides of the aisle and funnel!).” (Matt Heinz, president, Heinz Marketing Inc.)"The author's acute awareness of her own learning brings valuable gifts forward in her book. Today, when companies and customers are faced with an infinite number of messages, the word relevance has taken on a new meaning and dimension. Brand, Meet Story: How to Create Engaging Conte...

Think of the last great article you read or the last great speech you heard. Chances are, if you remember one key message, you also remember one compelling story. That's because the best content starts with a story. When it comes to marketing, the best business content starts with a story the audience cares about, not the brand's message about what it wants to sell them. In Brand, Meet Story, Heather Pemberton Levy describes the Story Comes First method, a practical approach that combines techniques from journalism and fiction writing to help brands tell stories that put the listeners' interests first. Whereas most brand marketers create content to sell their product, service or technology, the Story Comes First method turns this approach on its head to create content with the "human moments" that truly engage an audience. Filled with examples from Levy's experience creating content marketing programs, trade books, and hundreds of articles for a variety of B2B and B2C brands, the audiobook shows listeners a step-by-step approach to create content designed to deliver business results. Brand, Meet Story explains the key ways to uncover what your audience cares about and how to turn brand messaging into stories that matter. Levy inspires listeners to develop a compelling voice that will carry the brand tone and values across all channels, and helps them turn their ideas into engaging, story-driven content their audiences will hear, love, and share. Relationship U-Turn: Approaches to Increase the...

Customer relationship management concentrates to a great extent on the profitable customers and how to enhance their profitability. Little insight has been given on how to treat the "wrong" customer. This literature research paper shows that customer profitability and overall firm profitability can be improved when dealing with unprofitable customers. The managerial approaches discussed focus on maintaining the customer relationship. For this reason, this paper differs from the general widespread strategy of termination or "firing" an invaluable customer.First, relationship marketing and "Relationship U-turn" are introduced in this paper. Second, customer value and methods of measuring customer value are discussed. The body of this paper concentrates on different approaches that try to turn unprofitable customer relationships into profitable ones. Some of the approaches focus on letting the customer take over more of the value chain activities such as self-service. Other approaches look more at the non-monetary value a customer can provide such as positive word-of-mouth. Examples from business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets are given for each approach and discussed in detail. The paper concludes with ideas for future research and a discussion. It emphasizes that companies need to realize that every customer is an asset that contributes to the value of a firm. However, customers differ in their needs and a company has to tailor its offering to meet these needs. Only when a company takes a more customer-centric view can it be successful, especially in mature markets.
